DIY: Faux Fur Printed Vest
So I realize it’s almost December and vest weather is long gone for some of you, but I live in sunny Southern California and it’s barely vest weather around these parts. This week I realized a printed faux fur vest was missing from my collection. Bring on the fabric, bring on the scissors, bring on the super easy DIY project…
Materials: Faux Fur Fabric, Scissors
Seriously, this is so easy! Do you guys remember the leather and fur trim vest I made for the Today Show? If not then click here for a refresher. This project is even easier because we’re skipping a step.
Start by making a run to your local fabric store and purchase a strip of faux fur fabric. Then, cut it to measure about half a yard in width by 1 yard in length. Your fabric should be shaped like a rectangle. You might need to adjust the measurements or trim the vest slightly to fit your body. Now, lay your fabric out completely flat and about 6 inches from the top, in the middle of the rectangle, cut two slips in the fabric for your arms about 12 inches apart. I used my sharpie marker to draw mark the spaces so I new exactly where my arm holes should go.
Yes basically we just cut two holes in a piece of fabric and now we’re wearing it as a vest. Yes! Yes we are! Sometimes it’s just about how you wear it.

I gave the full glitz makeover to these Target pumps last season. Clearly I’m obsessed with making my shoes sparkle.
DIYers Note: Use painters tape to section off areas of your shoes before adding the glue and glitter.

I’ve been following your Blog for a while now and I’ve got to say, I love ALL your outfits! They are so amazing and suit you so well. *__*
It’s so much fun just reading and going through all your DIYs even though I, myself can’t make most of them. =P
Keep the creativity flowing.
P.S-> You’re gorgeous.
Love,
From India.
