It is easy to believe that any highlighter works on anyone, but just as there are a variety of shapes, highlighters also come in different shades. Choose a shade that is flattering to your skin tone, because the wrong color can make you look pale and tired.
You apply it incorrectly
For example, do you use a cream highlighter on your powder? This can lead to stains and the base becomes uneven. Instead, use it on your foundation. If you are using a powder foundation, use a highlighter in powder form. If using a liquid foundation use a liquid highlighter.
