DIY: Repurposed Vintage Sequin Top
Once upon a time, in a land far away… I repurposed one of my favorite vintage sequin tops. Seriously it seems like many, many lifetimes ago but back in 2010 when my blog was about 3 days old (no lie) I partnered with MadisonPlus.com and reworked a sequin top.
I had purchased a really glam black and gold sequin top from my local vintage store with the intention of working it into my wardrobe, but how often do we purchase a statement piece and NEVER wear it?!? After letting the top hang in my closet for a few months, I figured if removed the zipper from the back, add a front closure and transform this top it into a jacket I might get some wear out of it. What I fantastic idea that was! My sequin top is now one of my favorite jackets. I wear as an accent piece over my LBDs or I mix it up by pairing it with boyfriend jeans and a printed tank.

Gotta love my neon Shoemint pumps!
Karl Lagerfeld is not impressed
PS: I love taking a walk down memory lane from time to time. I really get to see how much mu blog has grown. Thanks so much for all your love and support over the years. A special thank you to The Style And Beauty Doctor Danielle Gray for braving the LA heat and back alleys to take this pics! xo
